Daddy's favourite

I've never been my daddy's favourite

Never been his favourite at all.

I kept crawling for attention

But it's a silent growl.

In my state, it's ever lasting winter.

It's like an endless fall.

I try to warm myself with inner fire

But I can't help it, it's too cold.

I don't seek saving,

No sympathy is wanted

There's only one desire -

to make my papa proud.

My voice has never been

too loud.

And still I thought it loud enough

to make it clear:

all I wanted was one thing

that is - parent love.
